Each week, we'll select one nomination to enter our monthly contest. At the end of each month, we'll select from one of the weekly entries to win the Buffalo Wild Wings Player of the Month. We'll interview the winner and present his or her athletic department with a $100 donation on behalf of Buffalo Wild Wings and the winner will also recieve a $100 gift card from Buffalo Wild Wings!
Joshua Gills/ Northwest Jaguars Football
Josh has been a standout four-year member of the Northwest Jaguars football and track team. When he's not on the field, Gills plays the cello, upright bass and electric bass guitar in the advanced orchestra and is a member of Northwest's Ambassadors program. This year, he was a reciepient of the Jag Award.
Football has not only taught Josh leadership skills, but helped him to understand the importance of academic commitments for student athletes. Outside of school, Josh has been a Youth Events Leader, Secretary of the Junior User Board of the Seneca Community Church, Ambassador with the Victims Right Foundation and Special Needs Education Intern at the Longview School. Josh has given back over 175 hours to our community and seen first-hand the importance of appreciating his own gifts.
In the classroom, Josh is maintaining a 3.43 GPA with Honors coursework being taken in English, Biology, Geometry, History.
