Bayside Power Poll: Week 9

A little bit of movement in the middle after Week #9. As I have said all year it is so tough ranking the teams from #s 6-11. There is so much parity and arguments that could be made for teams in various spots.


1...North Caroline (9-0)-The Bulldogs remain undefeated against the team that many thought was the only one that has the chance to beat them in Kent Island, the Bulldogs defeated the #2 Buccaneers 35-14. Caroline racked up 316 yards — 203 rushing, David Bailey with 101 of them. They also had 113 yards passing from Cody Pepper who had 2 TD passes. RB Will Manship had a rushing TD.


Next Game: Friday vs. Colonel Richardson

2...Kent Island (7-2)-The Bucs fell to #1 North Caroline on the road 35-14. Kent Island finished with 250 yards offense, though only 24 came on the ground, a season low. Brandon Galloway caught five passes for 60 yards.


Next Game: Friday at Queen Anne’s (our Game of the Week on 94-3 WINX-FM, sfmsports.net)

3...Queen Anne’s (7-2)-The Lions defeated #5 Parkside 33-24. The Lions scored two unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally from a 24-20 deficit, getting a pivotal 47-yard interception return from defensive tackle Jack Stevens to end the third quarter. Ryan Muller led the Lions’ rushing attack with 99 yards on 11 carries and Hassan Biggus gained 80 yards on 11 carries.

4...JM Bennett (6-3)-The Clippers down 21-0 at the end of the 1st Quarter scored 30 unanswered to defeat #7 Stephen Decatur 30-21.

5...Parkside (5-4)-The Rams in a seesaw battle fell to #3 Queen Anne’s 33-24 knocking them out of any playoff chances. RB Nayal Oge ran for 249 yards on 24 carries and 3 TDs.


Next Game: Friday at Washington


6T...Easton (3-6)-The Warriors defeated #6 Wicomico 22-12. QB Jarin Winters had 2 rushing TDs for the Warriors.


Next Game: Friday vs. Cambridge-SD


6T...Wicomico (4-5)-The Indians fell to #9 Easton 22-12. Next Game: Friday vs. JM Bennett



8...Stephen Decatur (3-6)-The Seahawks blew a 21-0 lead and fell to #4 JM Bennett 30-21.


Next Game: Friday at Snow Hill


9...Cambridge (5-4)-The Vikings blew out #13 Snow Hill 64-28 winning their 11th straight against the Eagles. RBs Tahj Molock and Ethan Bloodsworth combined for 5 rushing TDs.


Next Week: Friday at Easton

10...Colonel Richardson (6-3)-The Colonels rolled over #11 Washington 43-6. RB Robert Thompson had 9 carries for 145 yards and 3 TDs.


Next Game: Friday at North Caroline


11...Washington (2-7)-The Jaguars fell to #10 Colonel Richardson 43-6.


Next Game: Friday vs. Parkside


12...Kent County (1-8)-The Trojans fell to Hammond (Howard County) 16-9.


Next Game: at Patterson Mill (Harford County)


13...Snow Hill (1-8)-The Eagles fell to #8 Cambridge-SD 64-28. RB Amonte Allen rushed for 247 yards and 3TDs in the loss.
