2018 BAYSIDE CONFERENCE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL POWER POLL AFTER WEEK 6

 

 

Explaining the Poll: JM Bennett got their opportunity against Parkside and made the most of it. Kent Island with their second straight loss and a very tough schedule ahead is sliding down. Wicomico gets a boost off their commanding win and while Cambridge has played a tougher schedule I think the Indians are a bit better. Easton is playing teams tough but can’t get over the hump.   


1...North Caroline (6-0)-It wasn’t pretty with penalties and numerous turnovers, but the Bulldogs pulled out a 14-3 victory over Easton on homecoming. Ryan Bauer had a TD and CJ Johnson blocked a punt recovered for a TD by Kendron Wayman were the two scores.

 

Next Game: Friday at Kent County-6:30pm


2...JM Bennett (5-1)-The Clippers with a big win in the Battle of Salisbury defeated Parkside on the road 21-7. Three different players scored for Bennett.

 

Next Game: Saturday vs. Queen Anne’s-12pm


 

 

3...Parkside (4-2)-The Rams fell at home to Salisbury rival JM Bennett 21-7. The game was 7-7 at halftime. Devian White had the lone score for Parkside.

 

Next Game: Friday at Snow Hill-7pm 



 

4...Wicomico (4-2)-The Indians defeated Kent Island at home on Thursday Night 27-3. QB Khalil Evans had a passing and rushing TD in the win.

 

Next Game: Friday vs. Cambridge-SD-6:30pm         


5…Kent Island (4-2)-The Bucs fell to Wicomico on the road 27-3 on Thursday night, it was their second straight loss and first to Wicomico since 2007.

 

Next Game: Friday vs. Oakdale (Frederick)-7pm   


6...Cambridge-SD (4-2)-The Vikings blew out Washington at home 76-0. Ten different players scored for the Vikings and the defense had three scores.

 

Next Game: Friday at Wicomico-6:30pm


7...Queen Anne’s (3-3)-The Lions defeated Stephen Decatur on the road 34-7. RB Hassan Biggus had 190 yards and 3TDs in the victory.

 

Next Game: Saturday at JM Bennett-12pm


8...Easton (2-4)-The Warriors fell on the road to North Caroline in an ugly game 14-3. Alex Stecher-Scott had the lone score with a field goal.

 

Next Game: Saturday at Stephen Decatur-12pm  



 

9...Stephen Decatur (2-4)-The Seahawks fell at home to Queen Anne’s 34-7.

 

Next Game: Saturday vs. Easton-Noon


10...Colonel Richardson (3-3)-The Colonels defeated Kent County on the road 24-13. Jordan Gabriel had two rushing TDs in the win.

 

Next Game: Friday vs. Nandua (VA)-7pm



 

11...Kent County (2-4)-The Trojans fell at home to Colonel Richardson 24-13. Kolby Walters and Cory Robinson each had a TD in the loss.

 

Next Game: Friday vs. North Caroline-6:30pm



 

12...Washington (0-6)-The Jaguars were shutout by Cambridge-SD on the road 76-0.

 

Next Game: Friday vs. Arcadia (VA)-6:30pm


13...Snow Hill (0-6)-The Eagles fell at home to Nandua (VA) 39-16.

 

Next Game: Friday vs. Parkside-7pm
