Bayside Playoff Power Poll

November 13, 2018

Playoff Power Poll:
1...North Caroline (11-0)-The Bulldogs defeated Parkside on Saturday night 41-27 in 2A East action. Ryan Bauer ran for three touchdowns and scored another on defense. Caroline turned two Parkside fumbles into two touchdowns. The offensive line was dominant and created a lot of holes for the Bulldogs to be able to rack up yards to the tune of 274 yards and over 4 yards per carry, score touchdowns and gain time of possession. RB Joey Bildstein ran for 141 yards.

Next Game: Friday-2A East Playoffs vs. #3 seed Eltkon-7pm

2...JM Bennett (9-2)-The Clippers routed Long Reach of Howard County 41-14 at home on Saturday afternoon. The win was the first playoff win for Bennett since 1990 and the first playoff win for 3A Bayside Conference team in football. It was also the first playoff win for Head Coach Hoot Gibson. The Clippers were led by the trio of SaQuan Cotton, Jahryn Long and Taki’ Davis, who

combined for five touchdowns and three interceptions.

Next Game: Saturday-3A East Playoffs vs. #2 seed Chesapeake-AA-1pm

3...Parkside (8-3)-The Rams fell on the road Saturday night to North Caroline 41-27 in 2A East action. Parkside pulled within 34-27 with a little under 9 minutes remaining but would get no closer. Two fumbles in the game led to 14 points for North Caroline.

Next Game: Season Over

4...Cambridge-SD (7-4)-The Vikings fell at home in the rain to #3 seed Perryville 32-7 in 1A East Action. Cambridge trailed 12-7 at halftime. The Vikings fumbled turning over the ball on 3 of their first 5 possessions in the second half and Perryville scored on their first three possessions of the second half. The Vikings whose run game was shutdown almost completely in the first half was also unable to take advantage of the three interceptions of Perryville on the night.

Next Game: Season Over

5...Colonel Richardson (5-6)-The Colonels fell to the road to Havre De Grace 60-21 in 1A East action. Havre De Grace scored 41 points in the second half to run away with it. The game was just 19-7 at the half and early in the second half Colonel cut the deficit to 19-14. However, a controversial call on a fumble by Havre De Grace early in the 2nd half that gave them the ball back seemed to be the catalyst for the Warriors to get on track and pull far away from Colonel.
