The City-Poly football rivalry is the oldest American football rivalry and one of the oldest public school football rivalries in the United States. Since 1889, the Baltimore City College Knights and Baltimore Polytechnic Engineers have meet to battle for bragging rights. The game was originally played on Thanksgiving Day, but is not hosted at M&T Bank Stadium on the first Saturday in November. .
