Calvert Hall Cardinals Press Box

Lead by Senior Jonathon Graham, The Calvert Hall Cardinals Basketball team defeated the Loyola Dons Friday 55-30. The game was close going mid way through the 2nd quarter with both teams fighting to maintain a lead. Toward the end of the first half, Graham took the Cards on his shoulders doing the dirty work underneath the basket and even making clutch shots from the charity stripe.

The Dons had some success setting up screens and getting good looks at shots from the outside. James Murphy played well in defending Graham early on and forcing the big man to take shots from outside of the arc. 

After the game, Calvert Hall Head Coach John Bauersfeld said, "It all starts at practice...our guys have a great work ethic in practice."

The Cards will play Archbishop Curley before attending the Benedictine Holiday Tournament in Richmond, VA.
