Lancers spear Hurricanes, cap perfect season in 3A title game
The Linganore Lancers left nothing to chance on Saturday night at M&T Bank Stadium. The No. 1-ranked team in the state surged to a 24-0 lead and handily defeated the Huntingtown Hurricanes, 31-14, to win the 3A State Championship. With the win, Linganore completed an undefeated season (14-0) and won their fifth state title in school history.
 
Third times a charm for Tech; Mavericks win 2A title over Queen Anne's
Eastern Tech came up short in the the last two state title games. But on Saturday evening at M&T Bank Stadium, the Mavericks finally won a 2A championship, 16-8, over Queen Anne's.
 
May leads Catoctin to first state title
Dylan May had never been inside an NFL stadium before, much less played in one. So when the Catoctin senior quarterback first stepped foot on M&T Bank Stadium's turf field for the 1A state championship game, he was awestruck. Emerging from the stadium tunnel, May's eyes darted to the roaring crowd, the trailer-sized scoreboards, the rows and rows of purple seats.

Clements, Old Mill upset Wise to win 4A title, 17-16
BALTIMORE -- They did it with a team full of undersized unknowns. They did it with a defense that was giving up about three touchdowns per game. They did it by defeating two previously undefeated teams, a 2008 state champion and the toughest defense in Maryland.
